A driver has been arrested after a car veered off the motorway and into bushes.

Police were called after the Vauxhall Corsa left the carriageway, crashed through a fence and ended up on its side in undergrowth, just before junction 1 for Stockport.

Police say the occupants of the car managed to crawl free with minor injuries.

The female driver has been arrested for driving whilst unfit through drink/drugs.
