Driver allegedly records 0.298 blood-alcohol reading at Lake Mac

A 47-year-old man has been charged with allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol reading almost six times the legal limit.

Police stopped the man in a vehicle on Main Road at Fennell Bay on Saturday night after calls from the public about how Commodore station wagon was being driven.

The man, who police said was already suspended from driving, was arrested and allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.298.

His keys were seized and he was charged with high range drink-driving - second offence - and driving whilst suspended - second offence.
