A series of 20 live concerts are coming to Liverpool this summer but there’s a twist as the events will be held in a ‘drive in’ setting.
Live Nation announced the 'Utilita Live from the Drive In' summer concert series, which will see a number of acts visit 12 locations across the UK including Liverpool’s Central Docks, Liverpool Waters.
The line up for the concert series includes Cream Classical Ibiza, The Zutons, Dizzee Rascal, Kaiser Chiefs, Lightning Seeds, Sigala, The Streets and more.
The drive-in concerts are a ‘re imagining’ of the live music experience giving people the chance to enjoy gigs while maintaining social distancing during the coronavirus crisis.
The event has been designed to comply with all the official guidelines. People attending will enjoy the concert in a drive-in setting, from their own private viewing zone next to their car.
Who is performing?
Performers will be live on stage, backed by a full concert production. More names will be added to this summer’s line up, but acts already confirmed are: Ash, Beverley Knight, Bjorn Again, Brainiac Live, Brand New Heavies, Camp Bestival Live, Cream Classical Ibiza, Dizzee Rascal, Embrace, Gary Numan, Jack Savoretti, Kaiser Chiefs, Lightning Seeds, Nathan Dawe, Reggae Roast Vs Gentleman's Dub Club, Russell Watson, Sheku and Isata Kanneh-Mason, Sigala, Skindred, The Snuts, The Streets, The Zutons and Tony Hadley.
Each drive-in will have a capacity for around 300 cars per show, and there will be a state of the art sound system, lighting rig and high definition LED screens to create an area feel, in the unique setting.
Shows will take place from July to September and tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday, June 22 at ticketmaster.co.uk.
