More than 10,000 people have shown interest in a huge drive-in cinema event set for Belfast’s Titanic Quarter next month.
Two Belfast companies have joined forces to host the event on June 13.
Events company May We and Media and Recording company Red Box have come together in a bid to make the event happen.
The cinema, which will fashion a massive 54 meter squared screen, will have room for around 400 cars spaced out to allow for social distancing.
Each car will be able to hear the movie through their car stereo.
Members of the public interested in attending the event will be able to vote for the film they'd like to see with 1978 classic 'Grease' currently leading the polls.
Proceeds from the night will go to Queen's University into Covid-19 research.
The organisers have already raised £21,000 since the start of the pandemic with their "Broken Land" single covered by Derek Ryan, Cliona Hagan, and Brian Kennedy last month.
One of the organisers of the event, Karen Smyth, told Belfast Live: “This will be a brilliant night for the people of Belfast following the many weeks of staying at home in lockdown.”
“Drive in Cinema Belfast will have all permissions and licences to host the event and health and safety and social distancing will be our top priority. Families can have entertainment while staying within the safety of their car.
“We have the choice of screening thousands of films but we are asking the public to choose the one they want to see by placing a vote online."
