Drive-in cinema nights to be hosted by Ardoyne Youth Club

A North Belfast youth group are adapting to the ever-changing times due to Covid-19, and have spent weeks organising activities for families and children in their area.

Ardoyne Youth Club in partnership with Ardoyne Association have announced that they will be hosting two drive-in movie nights next week.

The movies will be shown at Holy Cross Boys' Primary School pitch on Thursday July 2 and Friday July 3 and will have a start time of 9pm - the late start time is due to the sunset at this time of the year.

Registration for the event will take place in Ardoyne Youth Club today, Wednesday June 24 from 2pm-4pm and again at 5pm-7pm.

Youth Worker Stephen Konrad said: "There is limited allocation therefore registration is essential and it will be on a first come first served basis. Social distance measures will be in place through out the whole event, and that includes registration and both event nights.

"Following a voting poll we carried out, the two most popular movies were Moana and A Star Is Born so these will be the two shows being played on the nights."
