Drinks prices at Glastonbury Festival listed including £35 for pitcher of cocktails

Glastonbury Festival has arrived offering five days of incredible music, mind-altering fields and pure-love vibes. 200,000 will descend on Worthy Farm for the best festival in the world this weekend.

Elton John, the Arctic Moneys and Guns N Roses are set to dazzle crowds with their legendary songs. Photographs have already emerged of people pulling crates of beer and alcohol into the site, but revelllers will also be purchasing their booze on site.

Beautifully-designed drink stalls are dotted around the festival site, including the famous Somerset Cider Bus. Here people can buy a cold tickle for £6 for one pint. Apple juice will set you back around £2 and anyone who fancies buying a cider brandy will have to fork out £3 per shot.

For revellers looking for something stronger, another bar is selling vodka singles for £5 or for people who enjoy their bubbly, you can purchase prosecco for £10 a glass..

And there truly is something for everyone at this event. Cocktail fans can buy a £9.50 frozen margarita or pay £6.40 for an espresso martini. While Hop and Lounge is offering cocktail pitchers for £35.

There are also options for people who want to enjoy a drink under shelter. The Cornish Arms is serving up pints for around £6.

It was an unusual start for Glastonbury as Emily Eavis opened the event rather than Michael Eavis. Emily stood in for her dad after he was spotted in a wheelchair last week.

She encouraged excited revellers to join her in counting down from ten, with the first festivalgoers trickling through the gates at the end of the countdown. But whilst 87-year-old Michael, who founded the first Glastonbury back in 1970, didn't open the gates, he was sat in a red Land Rover nearby as his daughter did the honours. When asked about her father by reporters, Emily said: "He’s over there – he's still very much here.

"He’s going to be waving everybody in. He’s doing really well. He had a late night last night."

Emily revealed her legend of a dad had been at the National Portrait Gallery in London, unveiling a painting. "He’s been out, we've all been here, heads down… he’s been off to London to a gallery opening."
