Drinker posts odd complaint after 'traditional' Manchester pub crawl - and it's left people fuming

If you're out drinking in Manchester city centre on a Friday night, there might be a few things to moan about.

Queuing for the bar or the choice of music perhaps.

But one drinker took to social media to make a bizarre complaint following a 'traditional' Manchester pub crawl.

And it's left people fuming.

"Been into three "traditional" pubs in Manchester today and on two occasions the barman have had painted nails," the drinker posted.

"Not what I was expecting."

It is understood the man had been referring to drinking institutions, the Briton's Protection and the Peveril of the Peak on Great Bridgewater Street.

The post wasn't received well, with many social media users questioning the drinker about why it mattered.

"Imagine coming to Manchester and being "offended" by men with their nails painted," one person wrote on Twitter.

Another said: "Britons protection is in my top three UK pubs. National treasure, and happy to compliment the bar staff on their nails."

One person wrote: "Imagine being this intimidated by some nail polish.

"Oh how I needed a laugh. Imagine being so upset by nail polish," another said.

Another user wrote on Twitter: "What a really weird thing to be triggered by. I can't say the colour of bar staffs nails has ever had an impact on my enjoyment of a beer."
