Drink-drive arrest of man who has been driving without a licence for 30 YEARS

A suspected drink-driver who has been driving without a licence for 30 years has been arrested.

Officers from the GMP Transport Unit stopped the driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa in Rochdale on Monday night (August 31).

The man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after providing a positive breath test, police said.

He blew almost three times the legal limit at the roadside.

He was also caught driving without a licence, which police said he had been doing for the past 30 years.

In a tweet, an officer from GMP Rochdale said: "Officers from the #TransportUnit arrested the driver of this Silver Corsa last night on suspicion of Drink Driving.

"He blew almost 3 times the legal limit.

"He was also driving without a licence for the last 30 years."
