Drew Lock’s dad reacts to photo of QB getting tips from Archie Manning

Archie Manning and Peyton Manning attended a Broncos practice earlier this week and had a chance to talk to the team’s quarterbacks.

Andy Lock, the father of rookie quarterback Drew Lock, posted a photo of his son on Twitter receiving advice from the elder Manning.

Andy said his son was displaying his “listening closely face.”

Archie wasn’t the only one giving out tips to the team’s QBs and coaching staff. Peyton gets in on the action, too.

“To sponge any of it up as a coach or as a player, we’re pretty fortunate,” offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello said of Peyton attending practice. “Just glad to have him here — it’s been a pleasure. The more he’s around, the better.”

Joe Flacco has already been declared Denver’s starter so Lock will be competing with veteran Kevin Hogan for the team’s backup quarterback job this summer.

After wrapping up minicamp Thursday, Lock and his teammates will now get a break before returning for the start of minicamp in July.
