The Cleveland Browns announced rookie offensive lineman Drew Forbes will not return to the preseason finale after suffering a knee injury early in the contest.
Forbes limped off with assistance during the first quarter of the game at FirstEnergy Stadium against the Detroit Lions. His left leg got rolled up on from behind as he executed a run block.
There is no initial prognosis on the extent of the injury other than Forbes has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
Forbes had played his way into the conversation for being the top interior reserve as he transitions from D-II tackle. If the injury will keep him out longer than a couple of weeks, expect the Browns to place the developmental rookie on injured reserve.
