Drew Brees takes practice field in custom Louis Vuitton cleats

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees took training camp by storm on Sunday, hitting the practice field in a bright-red pair of customized Nike cleats. The cleats were airbrushed with logos representing the popular collaboration between luxury brands Louis Vuitton and Supreme. It was something of a bold fashion choice by the Hall of Fame-bound quarterback, and earned a hat-tip from one of his former receivers, Lance Moore.

Brees later told Garland Gillen of FOX 8-WVUE that the cleats were designed by Marcus Rivero of Soles by Sir, who has created customized “My Cause My Cleats” for Brees the last three years. Brees plans to auction off the practice-worn Louis Vuitton/Supreme cleats for charity.

Brees has been known to break out special cleats in the past, having worn a tricked-out set in the 2018 NFC championship game that featured messages from his wife, children, and a few friends and mentors. Those shoes were also customized by Rivero, the Miami-based artist who has been a frequent collaborator with Brees throughout his Saints career.
