Drew Brees takes photo with a big fan at Dodgers game — Magic Johnson

There probably aren’t many bigger fans of Drew Brees than Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Literally — literally. The 6-foot-9 NBA legend towered over Brees and his sons for a quick photo at a recent Los Angeles Dodgers game, writing on Twitter how excited he was to meet, “The NFL’s all-time passing leader, future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever do it, Drew Brees, and his sons.”

The Brees family are avid baseball fans, often spending the offseason on the West Coast and catching games at Dodger Stadium or the San Diego Padres’ Petco Park (back in 2019, Brees even called up his acquaintance Mike Trout, the Los Angeles Angels superstar who had experienced a similar thumb surgery). At least that’s been the case. Where they plan to go now that Brees has retired from playing football professionally and turned to broadcasting remains to be seen, though a permanent move out west would make sense.

At any rate, it’s great to see Johnson sharing a nice moment with Brees and his family, on top of such a positive message — from one G.O.A.T to another.
