Drew Brees’ pregame speech had the Saints ready to run through a wall

The last time the New Orleans Saints played a meaningful football game, they were on the wrong end of one of the worst no-calls we’ve seen in recent memory.

Monday night was the first chance to officially move on from that no-call in the NFC Championship Game, and let’s just say that Drew Brees was ready to energize his teammates.

Prior to the season opener against the Texans, the Saints Twitter account offered a listen into Brees’ fiery pregame speech. Yeah, the Saints were ready after that one.

Brees shouted:

“Hey, man, we heard ’em this week. We’ve seen the devil. We’ve seen the devil! We looked him in his eyes! We’re still here. We’re on this field. Another season. Another opportunity. I’ll play for you, brother. I’ll play for you. I’ll play for you. Brotherhood, man. We don’t fear anybody. That’s what I learned about this. We don’t fear anybody. No man. No team. No situation. It’s our time, baby. This is our time. Brotherhood. That’s right here. For you. Brotherhood. I love you men. Trust yourself. Trust your teammate. Play your ass off. Let’s go win!”

Just a little intense.
