Drew Brees jokes about the one pass he didn’t complete vs. Colts: ‘My bad’

Drew Brees set the record for most career touchdown passes on Monday night, but it was his masterful game against the Indianapolis Colts that might deserve its own place in the Hall of Fame.

He set an NFL record by completing 96.7 percent of his passes in the New Orleans Saints’ blowout win, going 29-for-30 and throwing four touchdowns.

You’re probably wondering what that one miss looked like. Was it a deep ball to Michael Thomas that was short? A drop by a running back or tight end? A play in which he was hit as he threw?

Nope. He just plain missed a pass to Latavius Murray in the flat.

He talked about that play afterwards, noting he needed to set his feet, but that he felt some pass-rushing “heat” before he threw.

“My bad, I should’ve completed that one,” he said with a smile:

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton joked about it, too:
