Drew Barrymore has revealed she gatecrashed a date night of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudens at the height of their romance.
The 46-year-old A List actress found herself being a third wheel back in the days when 33-year-old Zac and 32-year-old Vanessa used to date.
Drew – who has switched up her acting career to become a TV talkshow host in recent months – revealed all during an interview with Vanessa.
The High School Musical star was a guest on The Drew Barrymore Show on Friday when they got thinking back to those innocent days of dating.
Drew gasped: "I was just thinking about, back in the day, we went to a Kings of Leon concert together, you, me and Zac Efron, and it was one of the funnest nights of my life.”
Recalling the memory herself, Vanessa blushed: “Are you kidding me? It's like, still a story I tell to this day. “That was such a wild time.
“I remember being there and I was like, 'What's happening? This is so amazing.' You were so sweet."
While Drew went on to suggest she crowbarred her way into the younger actors’ date night.
She laughed: “"I was literally your and Zac's third wheel.
“It was so fun and you guys were so cute and cozy and I just had the best time.”
Vanessa and Zac fell for each other after starring on the Disney channel smash hit High School Musical back in 2005 – in which they played high school sweetheart Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez.
The pair dated for four years before they amicably split in 2010.
Vanessa is currently dating 24-year-old professional baseball star Cole Tucker.
While Zac recently ended a romance with an Australian waitress amid reports she was planning to star in a Netflix reality series about Influencers against the Hollywood star’s reservations.
