How to complete Dream On! in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the Dream On! quest, you need to help Joy and Sadness put on some Dream Productions to inspire Riley. There's a lot to navigate through in this mission, so here's a full walkthrough for all key steps in this quest.
Enter Joy's Dream Productions space
Now that you're back up in Headquarters with Sadness after completing the Out of the Blue quest, chat with Joy to discuss what happened and what needs to be done next. Next, follow her over to the sparkling spot near the right wall and interact with it to enter Joy's Dream Productions space.
Once you're inside, walk over to the camera and talk to Joy again. Before the Dream Production can begin, you need to set the stage with the right clothing and furniture for the job.
Decorate the stage with classy furniture
Open Furniture Mode and scroll over to the stage cluttered with furnishing near the left end of the room. You need "classy, gold-trimmed furniture" to progress to the next step in this quest, so grabbing the right items here is crucial.
- The potted tree.
- The fireplace.
- The globe.
Pick up each of the three items from the stage near the left end of the room and move them over to the main Dream Productions stage in the center. You can place them wherever you want here, but they all need to be on the main stage to progress. Once everything is in place, talk to Joy about what comes next.
Dress up in elegant clothing
Before the show can start, you need to look the part, which means dressing up in elegant clothing. You must be wearing three elegant items to progress. Open your wardrobe to filter by this tag and change your outfit if required, then return to Joy again.
Head over to the piano and interact with it to start playing. After this, you'll be teleported back up to the main Headquarters, where you need to have another chat with Joy about how things are going.
Next, exit the Realm and return to the valley so you can place the Remote Headquarters down. Pay Scrooge McDuck 10,000 Star Coins to officially set up this home so Joy and Sadness can move to the valley.
Gather colorful materials for the light stick
Next, you need to craft a light stick. Before you can make this item, you need an array of colorful materials, including:
- One Topaz
- One Apple
- One Seaweed
- One Blue Falling Penstemon
- One Carrot
- One Onyx
Make sure you have all of the required resources in your inventory. If you have them stored away in a chest, they won't count, so you either need to go work on gathering fresh items or pull materials you already have out of storage for this mission.
Once you have the right resources, meet up with Joy to progress. She'll make the light stick for you, then ask you to return to the Realm to talk to Sadness. Joy is now an official villager, but there's still more work to be done if you want to recruit Sadness too. For now, though, the Dream On! quest is complete, and you can start working on other tasks, like completing all Retro Roadtrip Star Path duties.
