'Dream' - Nottingham Forest debutant describes Emirates Stadium experience

Alex Mighten said it was a “dream come true” to make his Nottingham Forest debut at the Emirates Stadium.

The talented youngster, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects at the club, made his Reds bow during the heavy 5-0 defeat against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup third round.

Mighten replaced Yuri Ribeiro with 12 minutes remaining in the capital, although the game was already gone with Forest trailing 3-0 to goals from Gabriel Martinelli, Rob Holding and Joe Willock.

Reiss Nelson and Martinelli added another two as the Gunners hit Forest for five to deny them a place in round four of the competition.

Despite the result, Mighten couldn’t hide his pleasure at wearing a Forest shirt in a senior game.

“Dream come true to have made my professional debut for Nottingham Forest last night at the Emirates,” Mighten posted on Twitter.

“Not the result we wanted but fantastic support from the travelling fans.”

Mighten, who has featured for Forest’s under-18s and under-23s, hit the headlines earlier this month when he hit a hat-trick for England Under-18s.
