Dream Pochettino pre-season squad
Chelsea's pre-season squad for their tour of America is set to look very different to the one that Thomas Tuchel chose for his own trip across the Pacific last summer. Mauricio Pochettino is set to travel out to USA in two weeks but more changes are yet to come.
The Blues have already sold £163million worth of players but that could yet rise up to £321million by the time the trip takes place. Whereas Tuchel decided to go with a 29-man squad including 14 players that would then depart before the end of the summer window, Pochettino is unlikely to follow suit.
In a scenario football.london has predicted, there are just 13 players still at the club that went on the last tour and the group heading out for preparation for the 2023/24 season is set to be very different yet again.

Those have now been followed up with the incomings of youth pair Alex Matos and Diego Moreira. Both teenagers are coming in for free after their contracts ended at Norwich and Benfica respectively.
It continues a massive rebuild by Mauricio Pochettino at the club, though deals were agreed for this pair before the Argentine himself was signed on as manager, the influx and exodus of players across the club keeps going.

Pochettino arrives
Saturday was the first day of Mauricio Pochettino's official Chelsea tenure. After agreeing to join the club over four weeks ago, the Blues are now under the management of the Argentine.
The turn of the month also marked the end of the sponsorship deal with Three as the club enters a period of limbo without a confirmed new sponsor.
After reports suggesting that gambling and casino company, Stake, would become the primary shirt sponsor on a one year deal, the Chelsea Supporters' Trust sent a letter to the owners hitting back against the potential partnership. Further decisions have yet to be made public as the wait for a new kit announcement also goes on.
