Toy testers wanted: your child could be paid £500 for a childhood dream job

Do you find it hard to tear your kids away from the toy aisles in the local supermarket? Then this could be the job for them.

One of the UK's newest retailers is on the hunt for a child aged between two and 10 to give the verdict on some of their newest products.

PoundToy is advertising for its first ever official toy tester - and strictly no adults are allowed to apply. Any applications from grown ups will not be considered.

Applicants will be allowed to work from home for as many hours they wish - earning £500 in the process.

The Head of Toy Reviews will be given a box of goodies worth £250 and then review their favourites for the PoundToy website.

According to recruiters, the ideal candidate will have a real passion for playtime and not be afraid to share their opinions on their favourite playthings.

To fill this dream role, they must also have a "creative streak and unlimited imagination".

A spokesperson for PoundToy said: "The successful applicant will receive a huge box of toys and will have the chance to review their three favourites, which will be shared on PoundToy’s website and social channels.

"And best of all, all of the toys will be yours to keep and play with forever, just call it one of the perks of the job."

Interested children should fill out the application here - which parents are allowed to help with - letting bosses know what their favourite toy is and why it means so much to them.

Applications close on at 11.59pm on February 19.
