Dream job alert - get paid to be a 'vegan festive food' tester

Do you love vegan food? Do you love Christmas? Then this is the job for you.

With high street vegan options growing fast, and new contenders on the scene for 2021, such as the Greggs Vegan Festive Bake, the MoneyBeach.co.uk team are on the hunt for a festive food fanatic to crown which brand gets a vegan Christmas right.

The one-off seasonal ‘job’ requiring the tester to critique a selection of plant-based festive food options from brands such as McDonalds, Greggs and Waitrose, by reviewing their taste, value for money and festivity level.

Applications are also open to both vegans and those with meat normally in their diet, with researchers wanting to discover how each menu item compares to other vegan food choices.

If the role wasn’t mouth-watering enough, it can even be completed from the comfort of the lucky applicant’s home, with all food to be ordered via a delivery app.

The successful applicant will be provided with £75 to order their vegan treats from a range of high street options, with a broad brief to sample hot and cold food, sandwiches and even vegan festive drinks.

An entirely remote role, the reviewer will simply need to order their items via a delivery app such as Deliveroo, UberEats and Just Eat. The resulting review will be used to crown the UK’s best vegan festive food item, and the individual will be paid £200 for conducting the crucial Christmas research.

Applications are now open to UK residents aged 18 and over, and those that want to put themselves forward for the job will need to apply via the website.

Mike Rees, CEO of MoneyBeach.co.uk said: “We are always keeping an eye out for new foodie trends within the UK, as a specialist website for both restaurant and takeaway insurance. While high street festive treats have been around for a long time, and delivery options are improving year on year - this is the first Christmas where vegan options are out in full force on many menus.

"This is a great thing to see, and we want to find out once and for all, which of the vegan festive food options really stack up against other vegan options. The ideal applicant will be a lover of all things festive, keen to try plant-based alternatives and big on takeaways! We really want to know which option truly is the best when it comes to providing plant-based consumers with festive treats.”
