Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is being linked with a shock move to Newcastle United.

According to Sky Sports, the Magpies' potential new owners have earmarked the Argentinian as their number one choice to replace Steve Bruce once their takeover is approved and the current season finishes.

The report claims the perspective owners are willing to give Bruce until the end of the current campaign, whenever that is.

Pochettino has been out of work since November when he was sacked by Tottenham, and it's claimed Newcastle's new owner will give him £19m per year to take over at St James' Park.
