Khvicha Kvaratskhelia believes he made the right decision when he signed to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

The Georgian winger was among the goalscorers as PSG recorded the largest-ever winning margin in a Champions League final on Saturday night, putting five past Inter Milan at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

He joined from Napoli for a reported fee of £59million, making an instant impact as he helped PSG on their way to the treble.

“It is crazy to think that today I am a Champions League winner,” he said. “It is a dream come true, i cannot describe it, crazy emotions.

“I think all the team, we made this together because this is crazy team, incredible. I am just happy to be one of them.

“I was very happy, I really wanted to come here. Today we see it was the right choice, I am happy to be here with these amazing guys.”

His goal saw him become the first Georgian to score in the Champions League final, another point of pride.

“I am so proud that I am Georgian, I think they are happy in my country. I am so proud to be Georgian.

Vitinha also weighed in on the moment. The diminutive midfielder, who had struggled to crack the first team at Wolves just a few years ago, ran the show in the final as he did throughout the campaign, but said he was thrilled to have handed Paris its first European title.

“It means everything, everything to the fans. I think they are the main reason that we wanted to win this trophy, but we wanted to win for a lot of reasons.

“It is our dream, it's everyone's dream, it is my dream, it is incredible.

“The group of players is a very good team. This result is not by magic. We are a great team, and we are very happy we did it like this, and now we are going to celebrate.”

Desire Doue, who came out of the final with a brace of goals and an assist to boot, shed some light on those celebrations, saying: “It is going to be crazy.”
