Dream come true as print and design group Systematic commemorates Lincoln City title winners

A life-long Lincoln City fan has spoken about what it meant for him to be involved in commemorating his club's historic League Two-winning season.

The Imps will kick-off their first game in the third tier this century on Saturday (August 3) after securing the title last season under manager Danny Cowley.

With the club having lifted three trophies in as many years - which includes the National League title and Checkatrade Trophy- bosses turned to Caistor firm Systematic to design and produce commemorative booklets with details on the matches, players...and plenty of photographs.

The firm has now led on the production of the latest limited-edition book 'Journey of Champions', which charts the 2018/19 campaign.

Systematic operates across the country but boasts a number of City fans in its office, including studio manager Rob Clark.

Mr Clark, a fan of more than 40 years who donated the artwork for the publication, said: "It means everything to be involved with the club I love and be part of that journey with them.

"It feels like we are all on that journey together so to have a small part of helping the club means the world to me."

Systematic's other two publications for the Sincil Bank club were "Impvasion" and "The Journey Continues".

The latest offering, which was designed and printed by Systematic, is a 136-page book featuring match stats, team lists and images taken by club photographers Andrew Vaughan, Chris Vaughan and Graham Burrell.

Chris Robey, MD at Systematic, added: "We are absolutely delighted to be involved in such a fabulous event for the club and for the city of Lincoln and to be part of helping them commemorate the season."

The company also formatted and proof-read the souvenir, which is now available at the club shop and online.

Terry Hibberd, Media Manager at Lincoln City, said: “We wanted to make sure the supporters had a record of what has been another historic season for the Football Club and to be able to do that with Robert and his team was terrific.

"They have yet again exceeded our expectations, we’re delighted with the book and we’re glad we could work with a Lincolnshire based company to be able to give the fans something to look back on for years to come."
