Dre Kirkpatrick says this is the most frustrated he’s been as a Bengals player

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is the most candid interview out there after games.

After the Bengals fell to 0-5 via Sunday’s 26-23 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, Kirkpatrick hit the postgame and stressed he and the team want to turn this around with the support of fans.

He also responded well when asked if this is the toughest stretch of his football career.

“This is the most frustrated I’ve probably been since I’ve been here…It’s not about an individual, it’s not about me or not about A.J. or Andy or anything like that, it’s about this team, these fans and the community, what we stand for…it hurts.”

The whole interview is worth a watch. Kirkpatrick talks about how great it was to hear the stadium come alive and how the team needs that earlier in games. He also threw out some hints that he could see Kyler Murray becoming better than Russell Wilson one day.

As a veteran leader, Kirkpatrick is the head of his cornerback room and a candid interview. We’ll be hearing more from him as the season progresses regardless of wins or losses.
