Drayton Manor is offering big discounts this half-term

Animal-lovers can get discounted entry to Drayton Manor Park this week, as part of a national celebration of the wonder of zoos.

As well as the school holidays, this week is Love Your Zoo Week, when animal parks across the country are opening their gates for a series of special events.

And the Staffordshire-based attraction is among those getting involved, by offering big savings and a host of hands-on talks and displays.

As well as more than 100 rides and attractions, the park will be hosting daily activities, including interactive zoo tours, trails and workshops for budding vets and zookeepers.

Families will be able to learn about its many species in the new Love Your Zoo trail, and join the zookeeper team for a fascinating interactive journey into the animal kingdom, with daily ‘Animals are Amazing’ talks.

‘Victorious Vets’ is the perfect activity for budding veterinarians; a hands-on demonstration which explores how vets care for animals, not just in the zoo, but out in the wild and at home.

And for those who prefer wild rides to wildlife, the theme park is also home to adrenaline-fuelled rides such as Shockwave, Accelerator and Maelstrom.

Drayton Manor Park is also home to Europe’s only Thomas Land, featuring family-favourite characters from Thomas & Friends.

William Bryan, managing director at Drayton Manor Park, said: “We are all very excited to be celebrating Love Your Zoo week this May half term.

“Wildlife conservation is extremely important to us at Drayton Manor, and we’re proud to provide a caring home to critically endangered species, as well as tailored breeding programmes to help repopulation.

“Love Your Zoo week will provide a fantastic insight into the work of our dedicated zookeeper team, so I look forward to welcoming animal lovers to the park to get involved with the amazing work our team does.”

The family-owned attraction is offering ticket discounts of up to 35 per cent off the gate price when booking in advance.

Tickets are available online, or through Drayton Manor’s ticket line on 0844 472 1950.
