Draymond Green notches 23rd career triple-double

Draymond Green racked up his 23rd career triple-double last night, shortly after MSU revealed his jersey retirement  ceremony against Duke on Dec. 3. A timely and rather impressive achievement for the Saginaw native.

Green went from a freshman coming off the bench to the Big Ten Player of the Year in his senior year at MSU. All the while, he became the third player in NCAA history to rack up two triple-doubles in the NCAA tournament. The other two being Oscar Robertson and former Spartan Magic Johnson.

There is no doubt that Draymond’s retirement ceremony will be emotional. Personally, I really look forward to the ceremony. Green is one of the best defenders of his generation. Definitely one of the best I’ve ever seen.
