Draymond Green likely to return to action against Jazz on Wednesday

After missing Monday night’s 129-124 overtime loss to the Portland Trail Blazers — a game in which Damian Lillard scored a history-making 61 mostly death-defying points — Draymond Green was conspicuously absent from the Warriors’ injury report on Tuesday.

In other words, it stands to reason that barring some sort of setback, the big man will be back in the lineup for Golden State when they welcome the Utah Jazz to Chase Center for Wednesday night’s contest.

They’ll need him.

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Jazz will enter the contest as one of the NBA’s hottest teams. The club has won 17 of their last 19 games and is coming off of a 118-88 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Aside from Green, both Glenn Robinson III and Jacob Evans have been upgraded to questionable for the contest.

If the trio is able to return, it would obviously go a long way toward helping the Warriors cool off one of the NBA’s hottest teams.

To this point, Green has missed 13 contests on the season. As the Warriors have placed priority on development, he has played just 29.2 minutes per contest, his lowest per-game average since his second year in the league.

The action will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. PT.
