Draymond Green Ejected Early In Warriors Vs. Magic Game

Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner, right, makes a move to get past Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green during the first half of an NBA basketball game Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Orlando,

Golden State forward Draymond Green was ejected less than four minutes into the Warriors' game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night. This marked Green's fourth ejection of the season and the first since his 16-game suspension by the NBA due to a history of misconduct, including an incident where he struck Phoenix center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during a game on Dec. 12.

During the game against the Magic, with 8:24 remaining in the first quarter, Green engaged in a heated argument with referee Ron Acosta following a foul called on his teammate Andrew Wiggins. The situation escalated when Magic forward Paolo Banchero scored a layup on the play and converted the free throw.

Green's frustration led to him being assessed two technical fouls in rapid succession, resulting in his immediate ejection from the game.

This incident adds to a series of disciplinary actions taken against Green this season, highlighting ongoing concerns about his behavior on the court. The NBA has been vigilant in enforcing standards of sportsmanship and conduct, especially in cases where players exhibit repeated violations.

Green's ejection not only impacted the Warriors' performance in the game but also raises questions about his ability to maintain composure under pressure. As a key player for Golden State, Green's conduct and emotional control are crucial factors that can influence the team's success.
