NBA star Draymond Green and the three-time champion Golden State Warriors may have swept Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Finals, but that doesn’t mean Green doesn’t have mad respect for Lillard, his NBA brethren.
It’s the offseason and, for Lillard, that means writing, recording or releasing rhymes. In the summer of 2019, it’s an album drop for the Portland star, “Big D.O.L.L.A.,” and Green — like some of his teammates — is feeling the Dame D.O.L.L.A. vibes.
Green posted an image of the album cover on Instagram and wrote, “Best work yet!!!”
NBA players across the league have outside interests and it’s great to see Green supporting the musical interests of Western Conference rival Lillard.
For Green’s part, it has been a summer of silky red lounge wear, dinner with friends who also “decode[d] the matrix” and summer reads.
