Draymond Green was back in Michigan yesterday to cut the ribbon for his newest Blink Fitness location in Warren, Michigan. While there, he answered questions from the media surrounding the NBA draft, where a few Spartans are vying for a draft selection.
Green had this to say about his own experiences:
“Just to hear my name called and to know I would have the opportunity to carve out a career in a league that I was always a fan of was something special to me.”
In terms of advice to Nick Ward, Green also had plenty to say:
“It doesn’t matter (what Ward’s professional prospects are). It’s about the work you’re going to put in on a daily basis. We can look at a ton of guys, including myself, and say the prospects weren’t that great, but who knows who’s going to outwork the next guy? Who knows what situation you’ll end up in, and that situation could possibly benefit you. He’ll determine what that looks like by the work he puts in.”
