Draymond Green and Nene Game 2 double techs rescinded

The dying seconds of the third quarter in Game 2 of the Rockets-Warriors series placed James Harden at the foul line.

Draymond Green and Nene lined up next to each other and the two got tangled up fighting for position during Harden’s shot. It brought them face-to-face for a brief moment but they were quickly separated with a double technical by referee Ed Malloy.

The Golden State Warriors planned to ask the NBA league office to rescind the double technical foul last night, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst confirmed on Twitter Wednesday morning that both technicals had been rescinded.

A player can accumulate seven technical fouls during the playoffs before being handed a one-game suspension.
