Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic reignite feud on social media

Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic had a social media spat.

In a recent exchange on social media, NBA players Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic reignited their ongoing feud. The sparring between these two players began back in December when Green struck Nurkic during a game, resulting in Green's indefinite suspension from the Golden State Warriors.

The recent confrontation took place on Saturday when the two rivals faced off against each other for the first time since the incident. Nurkic provocatively made a 'too small' gesture towards Green after scoring a hook shot in the third quarter. Not one to back down, Green responded minutes later by scoring a basket and taunting Nurkic further, smacking the floor and exclaiming, 'too small.'

Nurkic, who had previously expressed concern for whatever Green was going through in his personal life, walked back those comments during this latest confrontation. He expressed disappointment in Green's behavior, stating that he believes it is only a matter of time before Green crosses the line again, adding that Green doesn't deserve another chance.

In a nearly 8-minute segment on his podcast, 'The Draymond Green Show,' Green offered his response to Nurkic's comments. Reflecting on what transpired on Saturday, Green recalled fouling Nurkic in the first quarter, which led the Suns' center to initiate trash-talking. Green accused Nurkic of being overly sensitive, which then resulted in Nurkic resorting to cheap shots during the game.

Green also pointed out that Nurkic is infamous for being traded from the Denver Nuggets to make room for Nikola Jokic. He took offense to Nurkic questioning his character, noting that as a four-time All-Star and champion, he expected to dominate Nurkic on the basketball court.

Nurkic, however, did not find Green's comments amusing and promptly responded on social media, prompting another retort from Green. The back-and-forth continued, drawing attention from fans and media alike.

Although the Warriors and Suns are not scheduled to play each other again in the regular season, with Golden State currently holding the 10th seed and Phoenix the 6th seed, a potential playoff matchup cannot be ruled out at this point.

As the feud between Green and Nurkic continues to grab headlines, it remains to be seen if these two adversaries will find a way to put their differences aside or if their heated rivalry will persist, potentially manifesting on the court in future encounters.
