Draymond Green among six players to set NBA record last night

Its not everyday an NBA record gets broken, but in this case it took just four days.

Six players recorded a triple-double Wednesday night to break the record of five, which was set on Saturday. Among them was Michigan State alumnus Draymond Green. He recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in 32 minutes of play during the Golden State Warriors 108-94 win over the Houston Rockets.

Green was joined by James Harden, Ben Simmons, Nikola Jokic, Domantas Sabonis and Russell Westbrook. This was Green’s third triple-double on the season and 27th triple-double in his career, which puts him 18th all-time. His three this season also puts him in the top 10 of the NBA this season. The next person for Green to pass on the all-time list is Michael Jordan, who had 28 triple-doubles.

Green has averaged 6.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game so far this season. Green and the Warriors play their next game against Xavier Tillman and the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday at 8 p.m. EST.
