Drang made its return to Destiny 2 with the Ash & Iron update, right in time with Sturm’s rework. So if you want to take advantage of the Together Forever synergy (and a few occasional bugs along the way), new Drang has quite a few perks to hunt for.
Drang is a Solar 300 RPM sidearm with a unique Together Forever intrinsic. Final blows with this weapon load overcharged rounds into the Sturm Exotic hand cannon. This intrinsic is also available on the new Unfall rocket sidearm, in case you want to pair a Special weapon with Sturm.
Here are our Drang god rolls in Destiny 2 for PvE and PvP.
What is the Drang god roll in Destiny 2?

Drang PvE god roll
- Barrel: Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine: Flared Magwell
- Perk one: Heal Clip
- Perk two: Incandescent
- Masterwork: Reload Speed
Drang PvP god roll
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds
- Perk one: Moving Target or Heal Clip
- Perk two: Master of Arms
- Masterwork: Range
Drang’s PvE god roll is as easy as it gets: Heal Clip with Incandascent. Heal Clip grants Cure to you and nearby allies when reloading after a kill, and Incandescent spreads scorch when defeating targets. It’s a strong combo that has been the go-to for most Solar weapons.
Some alternatives include Collective Pugilism in the third column for melee builds. Collective Pugilism allows the weapon to generate melee energy on hit after collecting an elemental pickup or destroying a Tangle. In the fourth column, there’s also Burning Ambition, which applies scorch, but it takes multiple hits to trigger and is generally worse than Incandescent.
There aren’t as many PvP perks on Drang. In the third column, there’s Moving Target to increase aim assist and target acquisition. Heal Clip is also a decent choice on sidearms with their high base reload speed, and we have seen it do well in the Crucible on weapons like Heliocentric QSc. The main difference is that Heliocentric QSc is a 360 RPM Lightweight Frame as opposed to Drang’s 300 RPM Adaptive Frame.
In the fourth column, Master of Arms is a good option to make the weapon more forgiving. At one stack, you need three precision hits and one body shot to secure a kill, followed by two precision hits and two body shots at two stacks. If you want something for dueling, there’s also Eye of the Storm, which increases handling and accuracy as your health gets lower.
How to get Drang in Destiny 2

Drang drops from Solo and Fireteam Ops in the Portal (not the Pinnacle Ops), and there’s a chance to get it by completing any activity in these playlists. Every day, there’s an activity with a Bonus Focus reward that has a chance of awarding a specific weapon when reaching rank B or higher, so wait until Drang becomes a Bonus Focus drop to farm for the god roll.
