Dramatic video shows firefighters tackling car fire in Clevedon

A dramatic video has captured a car fire which broke out in a residential road earlier this morning (August 30).

A fire crew from Clevedon was called to Kenn Moor Drive at around 7.40am.

On arrival the firefighters found a car in flames, with black smoke billowing from the burnt out vehicle.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze while police officers closed the road.

Avon Fire and Rescue has confirmed there were no injuries caused by the fire.

"We were called at 7.37am and one crew from Clevedon fire station attended the fire on Kenn Moor Drive," a fire service spokesman said.

"On arrival they used breathing apparatus for safety and one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire.

"Police were also in attendance.

"The cause is thought to be accidental and there were no injuries."
