Dramatic video and photos show moment brave emergency services rescue two young boys who fell from sea cliffs in north Dublin

These amazing photos by Dublin Live reader Ray Watts show two youngsters being rescued after they fell from the cliffs near Loughshinny in north Dublin.

Images and a video also show one of the young boys being winched to safety by Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116 after he suffered a suspected broken leg.

Talented local photographer Ray was full of praise for the brave efforts of the Coast Guard's Howth Cliff Rescue team working in tandem with the Coast Guard service from Skerries alongside the Dublin Fire Brigade and the National Ambulance Service.

Alongside these dramatic photos that capture the urgency of the rescue, Ray posted on his Facebook page: "Thankfully only a broken femur for one of the two young boys who fell off the cliff near Drumanagh this afternoon.

"A great result for the combined rescue teams of Howth Cliff Rescue, Coastguard service from Skerries, Ambulance services, Rescue 116, Fire Brigade.

"One boy was airlifted to Dublin Airport on Rescue 116 - well done to the rescue services."

The Irish Coast Guard at Howth posted on Facebook: "The cliff team was tasked today at 16.03 to assist Coast Guard Rescue helicopter 116 and Dublin Fire Brigade at Rush in North Dublin in the rescue of a cliff faller.

"The National Ambulance Service, Gardai and Skerries Coast Guard were also on scene in the joint operation. Non life threatening injuries sustained by the casualty."
