Dramatic scenes as brave firefighters tackle massive gorse wildfire in Howth

Dublin Fire Brigade has shared shocking images as they battled a gorse wildfire in Howth last night.

Frightening pictures show firefighters bravely tackling large flames in the dark.

A DFB spokesperson said last night: “We've the Howth gorse wildfire under control, three units are still on scene however.”

The hill of Howth, like the Dublin Mountains, regularly experience gorse and bushfires in the warmer months, and the DFB have reminded people that the Department of Agriculture has an Orange fire warning in place until tomorrow, April 24th.
