Dramatic RNLI lifeboat rescue in North Berwick after kayakers capsize in Firth of Forth

North Berwick and Dunbar Coastguard team were alerted to an emergency incident on the Firth of Forth this week after a pair of kayakers capsized while out at sea.

At around 12.20pm on Thursday, the two kayakers required immediate attention from the North Berwick RNLI after one of the men ended up in the water.

After one of the males got into "difficulty" at sea, the other kayaker raised the alarm and an emergency lifeboat was sent out to rescue them.

Both of the men were rescued from sea and brought on board an RNLI inshore lifeboat where they were taken back to Canty Bay near North Berwick.

North Berwick and Dunbar Coastguard teams rushed to the scene to rescue the two men who had their kayaks towed behind the vessel.

The rescue mission was a success, with coastguards confirming that the two men are both safe and well after the dramatic incident.
