A daredevil kitten which ended up becoming stuck for 36-hours up a 50ft tree in Edinburgh has been rescued.
Mittens found herself trapped in the branches after going on an adventure on the corner of Lygon Road and Mayfield Road, near Cameron Toll Shopping Centre, last week.
She spent the best part of two days stuck, with no easy way down, before finally being rescued on Thursday.
Fire and rescue teams made use of a cherry picker to bring the mischievous kitten to safety.
And after some much needed food and drink, she was quickly returned to her owners.
The Scottish SPCA shared details of the dramatic rescue, adding: "We were involved in an exciting rescue thanks to the Edinburgh Tollcross Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
"Mittens got herself stuck 50ft up a tree and had been there for over 36 hours.
"Thanks to Peter Emerson and the team at the station, they brought out the cherry picker and rescued Mittens. Once she had been fed and watered, she was safely returned to her owners."
