Dramatic pictures show the aftermath of a horrific crash on the M6 this morning.
The smash happened on the southbound carriageway between junction 19 for Knutsford and junction 18 for Middlewich just before 7am.
It involved a blue Renault Megane and a HGV, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said.
Three men - the driver of the car and two passengers - were taken to hospital from the scene.

Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
Pictures of the aftermath of the crash have now been shared on the Knutsford Fire Station Facebook page.

They show the Renault completely destroyed and smashed up.
The car's roof appears to have been cut off.
One photo also shows a tree which had fallen onto the carriageway in the crash.

Several emergency services vehicles were pictured at the scene.
Two lanes remain closed on the M6 this morning while recovery work takes place.
There are long delays in the area, with a travel time of around 90 minutes up to the scene of the crash.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "A report was received at 6.57am on Monday 16 August of a collision on M6 southbound between junction 19 to junction 18 involving a blue Renault Megane and a HGV which had left the carriageway.
"The driver of the Renault, a man, has been taken to hospital. The extent of his injuries are not yet known.
"Two male passengers of the Renault car sustained minor injuries and also went to hospital as a precaution.
"Lane closures were in place while police dealt with the incident. The scene has now been handed over to Highways Agency."
