Dramatic pictures show firefighters and police at the scene of a crash involving a car which had smashed into a skip.

The crash is believed to have happened in New Eaton Road, off Brookhill Street in Stapleford on Sunday, May 26.

The drive of the car escaped unharmed, according to Stapleford Fire Station.

A statement made on Facebook by the fire station said: "Yesterday we attended a report of a road traffic collision in Stapleford.

"We supported Nottinghamshire Police and made the vehicle safe, returning the skip to its original position fully on the ground.

"The driver of the vehicle amazingly escaped unharmed and did not need any medical treatment.

"The skip was stationary on the road before the collision.
