Dramatic pictures as Nissan Qashqai car crashes into Thornbury house

Dramatic pictures have shown the damage caused to a house after a car smashed into it.

The vehicle hit the house in Thornbury just after 8am this morning (October 17).

The images show the car went through a wall before stopping in front of the house.

Bricks lie on the Nissan's bonnet.

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics all attended the crash in Kingfisher Close.

A spokesperson for Avon Fire and Rescue said: At 8.23am, one crew from Thornbury were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving a car and a house on Kingfisher Close in Thornbury.

"On arrival, firefighters assisted one casualty in her 50s from the vehicle with paramedics.

"The casualty was left in the hands of paramedics.

"Crews remained on scene to stabilise the car and property."

South Western Ambulance Service said: "We were called to this incident at 08.25hrs this morning. We sent two resources to scene and took one patient to Southmead hospital with minor injuries."
