Emergency services were called to the scene on Cronberry Quadrant in Crookston around 8.19pm on Friday, November 5.

Fire crews battled flames that were seen coming through the roof of the property.

Reports from locals suggested the house was hit by a firework.

A picture taken this morning shows the roof of the home completely destroyed and the door to the property boarded up.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire but residents in a neighbouring property had to be evacuated for their own safety.

It's understood no one was injured in the blaze.
