A dramatic photo shows the moment a car crashed into the front of a terraced house on a main road in Sutton-in-Ashfield on Friday morning (January 21).
It crashed into a property in Mansfield Road, near its junction with Outram Street and Dalestorth Street.
Police were called to the scene at around 7.25am. Other emergency services were also in attendance.
Structural engineers worked alongside them to safely remove the car.
No serious injuries were said to have been sustained in the collision.
The investigation into what happens continues.
Neighbours were woken up to the dramatic incident.
Christian Mitrache, who lives next door to the damaged house, said: "I was sleeping, and it woke us up.
"I've not known of anything like this to happen here before."
Local resident Tony Baber, 59, said: "It's crazy, how did that even manage to happen?
"I'm not even sure how something like that could have happened."
A hairdresser, who works in Mansfield Road, witnessed the emergency response.
They said: "I saw the car in the house, and there were about four or five emergency vehicles there.
"There were lots of police officers, too.
"I didn't see what happened, but traffic around here was horrendous while it was being sorted."
