Dramatic photographs show firefighters battling a huge blaze which was caused by arsonists, it's been reported.
Black smoke can be seen billowing up for the car which has been completely ravaged by flames.
Two crews from Yate fire station attended the blaze in Acton Turville Road in Tormarton at around 3:23am today (Thursday).
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival, firefighters found one car well alight and used on breathing apparatus for safety and one high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire.
"The cause is thought to be deliberate."
Yate Fire Station tweeted: "Yate on call had a busy night! A chimney fire in the evening followed by 2 calls of alarms and a car fire in the early hours of the morning."
