Dramatic photo shows aftermath of horror smash involving tractor and car on Fife road

A dramatic photo has shown the aftermath of a horror smash involving a tractor and a car on a Fife road.

Cops raced to the scene on Invertiel Road, Kirkcaldy, at around 10.45am on Thursday, August 19.

A snap of the wreckage shared by Fife jammer locations appears to show the side of the vehicle has been ripped off.

The front door of the car on the passenger side also appeared to be crushed.

Despite the extensive damage to the vehicle, there were no serious injuries as a result of the collision.

However, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to careless driving.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a collision involving a tractor and car on Invertiel Road, Kirkcaldy, around 10.45am on Thursday, 19 August.

"The road was partially blocked for a short time, there were no serious injuries and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to careless driving."
