Dramatic footage shows the moment an injured walker is winched to safety by a Coast Guard helicopter.
A Coast Guard unit were tasked to attend two incidents in the Cooley Mountains in Co Louth over the weekend.
Members of Greenore Coast Guard assisted a lost group of walkers and also came to the aid of an injured person who was taken to safety.
A video shared on the Irish Coast Guard's official Twitter account shows the dramatic helicopter rescue.
A spokesperson shared the following message: "Greenore Coast Guard Unit were tasked twice over the weekend to assist an injured walker on Slieve Foy.
"The second was to assist a group of walkers who had become disoriented and needed to be escorted to the foot of the mountain. If you think someone needs help ring 112 / 999."
