Dramatic footage shows cops smash in door of Glasgow home after disturbance inside

This is the dramatic moment police smashed through the door of a Scots property after being called to a disturbance.

The clip taken from inside of the property shows officers smashing down the door with a battering ram.

The door is rammed several times before it comes off it’s hinges and several police burst into the room.

Officers were called to a property on Barnes Street in Barrhead at around 12.35pm on Monday afternoon.

A 23-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Cops say the incident was contained to the single property and no one was injured.

Pictures taken from the scene show a cordon placed at the end of the street, with officers in uniform guarding the area.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were made aware of a disturbance within a property at Barnes Street in Barrhead around 12.35pm .

"A 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested from the property.

"The incident was contained to the single property and nobody was injured.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
