Dramatic footage shows a car well ablaze on a rural East Ayrshire road last night.
The silver Volkswagen Golf was engulfed in flames on the A719 between Galston and the village of Moscow.
A member of the public stopped to aid traffic flow and allow firefighters battle the blaze after they raced to the scene.
Thankfully, no casualties have been reported following the worrying incident.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told Ayrshire Live today: "We were alerted at 8.39pm on Wednesday, December 29 to reports of a car fire on the A719 near Galston.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene.
"There were no reported casualties. Firefighters made the area safe."
