Footage has emerged showing the moment ISIS leader is believed to have been killed during a military raid in Syria.
Several explosions can be seen and heard in the clip filmed in darkness and released this morning by Syrian activists.
A huge fireball erupts in the sky followed by a cloud of smoke and several deafening bangs.
There is then deadly silence.
The video is as yet unconfirmed and the final confirmation of Baghdadi's death is underway while DNA and biometric testing is conducted, sources told CNN.

Newsweek claimed Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest after realising he had no chance of escape during the US special forces raid.
His two wives were also reportedly killed in the firefight, with no injuries to US forces.
Meanwhile, Iraqi state television also this morning aired footage of what is said to be the aftermath of the raid.
Day-time video shows a crater in the ground littered with torn, blood-stained clothes.
Although his death has not been confirmed, two Iraqi security sources and two Iranian officials said they had received confirmation from inside Syria that Baghdadi had been killed.
Baghdadi was last seen in a propaganda video in April. The US placed a $25million bounty on his head in 2016.
The terror mastermind, once described as "one of the most evil men in history", was long thought to hiding somewhere along the Iraq-Syria border.
He became active in al-Qaeda following the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 and spent time in the infamous Abu Ghraib detention centre.

The Iraqi-born cleric, believed to be 47 or 48, became leader of ISIS in 2010 and led the terror group to huge territorial gains across Iraq and Syria.
He declared the global caliphate in 2014 in Mosul - his only known public appearance as ISIS leader.
Under his leadership, ISIS fought back government forces in Syria and Iraq, claiming huge areas of oil-rich land populated by millions of people.
Its terrorists also murdered thousands of people in acts of horrific brutality - including captive Westerners who were beheaded on camera.

President Donald Trump earlier tweeted: "Something very big has just happened!" He gave no further details.
However Mr Trump is preparing to make a "major statement" at the White House later this afternoon.
A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that Baghdadi was targeted in the overnight raid but was unable to say whether the operation was successful.
